BTS FILM

This project was a Behind the Scenes film for a one-take film called 'The Past Falls Open Anywhere'. TPFOA was part of a project researching Cultural Displacement; the Directors worked with a group of Ukrainian children over the space of a week to create a piece of art that conveys their experiences their country.
I was Production Assistant on TPFOA but I was also tasked with documenting this fascinating process through a BTS film. This was the first BTS film I have shot and I found it to be an enjoyable and valuable experience.
I was responsible for all Behind the Scenes photography and videography and my BTS film features interviews with our child participants about their thoughts on this process. It was an incredibly interesting and heartwarming project to be a part of and was actually where the idea was born for my next short documentary, 'The Women Who Weave'.
Neither 'The Past Falls Open Anywhere' nor my BTS film are online yet but we are excited to begin distributing both to film festivals.
