The Sunderland Shorts Film Festival is one of the Top 100 on Film Freeway and I loved being a part of their 11th edition! There was an amazing range of short films shown over this week and it was great to meet other young filmmakers.

APRIL 2026
The Manchester Lift-Off Season Awards are part of the Lift-Off Global Network; having won our category within the Manchester awards, we are now nominated for the Season Award for Best Short Documentary which means we will be screened at Pinewood next February.
I'm really excited to attend the Season Awards at Pinewood and continue spreading awareness of this life-saving law.

The Royal Television Society's West of England Student Awards are a prestigious, annual competition held by the Royal Television Society to recognize outstanding film, animation, and television work created by undergraduate and postgraduate students in the region.

London Seasonal Short Film Festival
OCTOBER 2025

The London Seasonal Short Film Festival is a Film Freeway Gold ranking festival that has been running for 13 years so to earn a Special Mention from them meant a lot. It is really lovely for the hard work that went into this documentary to be recognised!

WOMEN X
SEPTEMBER 2025
The Women X Film Festival is the UK's leading international women's film festival so, for me, being selected to be screened is a huge achievement. Women X is proudly hosted by Rianne Pictures and is a BIFA accredited festival that takes place in Darlington in September 2025.
This festival was an incredible and inspiring experience and it was an honour to be stood in a room full of such strong, talented women. I was so proud for 'Clare's Law' to even be screened here as the ultimate aim when making this documentary was to help spread the word and educate people on what Clare's Law is, so to pick up an award as well was truly shocking and I am so grateful to Women X for giving my film this amazing platform.
I am also on the Alumni Jury as a Judge for Best Student Film this year which is a very full circle and exciting opportunity.

The London Women Film Festival is a Film Freeway Gold rated festival that, in their own words, proudly stands behind women filmmakers, actors, writers, and all those who are actively shaping the landscape of cinema. Their platform is not just about showcasing films; it's about amplifying voices, fostering diversity, and nurturing talent.
I am incredibly honoured and proud that 'Clare's Law' has won the award for Best Short Documentary and am really excited to see where it goes next.
